Hallo everyone,

Does anybody know where I can get flat ridget collar 4.10 - 4.20 mm
wide in 14 or 18 karat yellow gold.

Ok, Since nobody responded to my question, I will try again: Does
anybody know where I can get flat ridget collar 4.10 - 4.20 mm wide
in 14 or 18 karat yellow gold. I’ve tried for many weeks now to find
it and nobody seems to make it. I realise that I am new on Orchid but
I thaught help was given to every one who needs it regardles of how
long you know them. I will appreciate any suggestions or tips.

It’s just possible that nobody here knows, off hand, where you might
get such a product. I haven’t looked lately, but I know they have
some silver collars in the Rio Grande Gems and Findings Catalog. I
don’t know if they’ve any in gold. I’ve not seen them anywhere else.
If I had to come up with something like that, I’d get a strip of gold
and form it myself. If you’d like, call me and I can make it for you.
I’d would provide an estimate first, then I’d need a deposit to cover
materials. Email me off forum if you’re interested.

Do you mean a flat, rigid collar? I still don’t know, but maybe this
will help.

No need for paranoia. If we have answers, we give them. Why would
someone answer you to say “I don’t know”? Has nothing to do with how
long anyone knows you.

It may be that your question is not easily answered. I didn’t know
what ridget meant. When I tried to look it up, something called the
Urban Dictionary gave back a wierd definition that I’m not going to
repeat.

Anyway, if it is a neck ring collar with an open back that you are
looking for, Rio Grande has couple different types in 14k, but the
widest in 18k is 3mm. You can order a catalog by calling
800-545-6566.

I’m afraid we missed your original post, but perhaps we can help in
your rigid collar search. We have a collar that David made of 14k
yellow 3mm square wire. We could make a 4mm wide collar for you if
necessary, as, I’m sure, many here on Orchid could. Are you looking
for a single piece, or a reliable, repeatable source for these
collars?

And rest assured, your newly arrived status here on Orchid will have
little or nothing to do with the help we can give you. Sometimes we
miss a post, or no one feels they are the “resident expert” on your
question or search. A second request usually gets our attention, and
you will find that most all of us will help if we feel we can.

So, a little more info and perhaps we can help you out.

Help is given to anyone who needs it! The problem is that if no
one has an answer, then no one is likely to respond. And sometimes,
posts just seem to get buried for one reason or the other. Trust me,
no one is singling you out for inaction :-).

I, for one, don’t know what you mean by a flat ridged (or is it
rigid?) collar. However, Herco in San Francisco offers a number of
collars so you might want to google for them.

If no one responds to your question, go ahead and post it again.
It’s likely that no one reading that round of posts had an answer for
you. I, for one, have no idea of the type of collar you are seeking.
Perhaps a photo would help.

Thank you to all of you, who responded to my posting on and off
forum. I was able to find the collar. And I stand corrected for
jumping to wrong conclusions. The frustration of not being able to
find what we need in time will do this to some of us. Until next
