[Source] 14K Toggle clasp

Hi All

I need a 14K yellow toggle clasp. The ID needs to be about 14-15mm
(which would make the OD 18-10mm) to accommodate 13mm pearls. I have
checked Rio, Otto Frei, Stachura, CGM and I can’t find anything this
large. Does anyone know of another resource? I can make this in
silver, but don’t work with gold.

Thanks…Diana

you, contact me again and I will give you some other contacts. If
their phone lines are not working, it is because Verizon or AT&T cut
some lines by accident the other day.

Hello Diana,

Sure, you CAN work in gold. It is so much easier to solder than
sterling. Of course, in addition to the 14KY stock, you’ll need to
also invest in some gold solder for your work. However, your material
costs will more than be recouped if you calculate what the finding
would cost.

No doubt there are Orchidians who would make the toggle for you, but
this is a wonderful opportunity to try working in gold!

accumulation, but temps dropped and there is a freeze warning
tonight. I’m hoping that being on a hill will offer enough of a
temperature difference that plants will survive the night.

Hi Again

Well, I have tried all these sources and still have had no luck in
finding this clasp. Is there someone out there who could make it for
me? I just need a very plain 14k toggle clasp that will accommodate
13mm pearls.

I don’t really have time to order materials and experiment on this
myself for this project, but I am getting interested in learning to
work with gold. Maybe for the next one…
