Hi all, Everyone keeps talking about problems with ‘nickel Silver’. I
can’t understand why ! I used it for years to prototype my jewellery
(and for components for Hunting knives I make), and have never had a
problem with soldering, forging or even casting it!
I use silver solders easy, medium & hard on it, use stainless steel
polish on it initialy and then Rouge for final finishing.
it is a little harder to work with than silver when filing or cutting
but as I’ve said i’ve never had a problem with it!
Is it possible that what is called nickel silver in the USA is a
differnt alloy to what we get in England ?
