[SNAG] Philadelphia Museum of Art Special Event

Join SNAG for an evening of extraordinary jewelry and great art at
the Philadelphia Museum of Art!

On Thursday May 21, “Jewelry in Motion” will be presented in the
Great Stair Hall of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. 32 works will be
worn by

live models, accompanied by music and four dancers from Jeanne Ruddy
Dance. The jewelry on view will tend to be large, exuberant and
experimental. Lola Brooks and Jonathan Wahl will emcee the show.

Attendees can also see “Wrought and Crafted: Jewelry and Metalwork
1900 - Present,” a new exhibition of jewelry and metalwork by artists
from the Philadelphia area, as well as the Museum’s outstanding
collection of arms and armor. And after “Jewelry in Motion” has
concluded, the hugely popular exhibition Cezanne and Beyond will be
opened for a private viewing.

“Jewelry in Motion” is coordinated with “Revolution,” SNAG’s annual
conference, but tickets must be purchased separately from the
conference registration. The event allows students and professionals
the opportunity to network, visit and enjoy the festivities without
attending the entire SNAG conference. Tickets are only $20, but they
must be purchased by Monday, May 4, 2009. No tickets will be sold at
the door, so time is running out!
