Slush casting in pewter

I am interested in slush casting with pewter but have been unable to
find anything really informative? Does anyone know what the mold
should be made of to successfuly slush cast? Also what kind, if any,
of mold release should be used? Graphite, Talc, Corn Starch, Spray on
Mold Release?

Thanks,

Pewter is relatively low melting point so you wont need a release
agent as listed though if using new metal moulds a thin coating of
soot from a candle breaks the mould in nicely. Your moulds can be
silicone, steel, brass, aluminium, plaster and other materials such
as clay- depends on whether you are production casting or doing
one-offs.
