I have to size a men’s sterling ring down one size. It has a 8x10
star sapphire in it. The band is 10mm wide x 2 mm thick - big and
heavy. I know nothing about this stone. Is it really a sapphire? Do I
need to remove it? Is it an expensive stone in case I break it. Worst
case scenario…
