Since you may not have access to the following book, Silversmithing
and Art Metal, by Murray Bovin, Bovin Publishing, 1989, I’ll give the
formulas out of it, from p. 20.

Easy--65% silver, 20% copper, 15% zinc
Medium--70% silver, 20% copper, 10% zinc
Hard--75% silver, 22% copper, 3% zinc

Percentages are by weight. As an interesting note, American copper
pennies, dated 1970 and later are a good source of high quality zinc,
as they are copper coated over 98% zinc. Although the book is
somewhat dated, it still has a lot of useful you will not
find in other books.
