Silver plating with Rhodium

Hey all,

I am looking for someone who has good instructions/experience on
rhodium plating silver. I have heard that it is done with a nickle
then rhodium process with a couple of acid baths between. I need
detailed about the process. I am going to need to
plate sterling charms and pendants on a small production setup (10
to 20 pieces per day max to start). If you have done so
sucessfully, please let me know instead of paying for a multi
thousand dollar setup from a big sales company.

Hi Mark;

Why not break stride with the masses of manufacturers that create
that junk? I absolutely hate rhodium plated sterling. You can’t
repair it, it isn’t really as pretty as sterling, if it gets
scratched, you can’t polish it, and once the plating starts to wear
off, it looks like junk. Can you use the new Argentium sterling for
these articles? (not affiliated, no remuneration, this is not a plug
for Arg.).
