Silver Paste Solder question

I have some Vigor silver solder paste that I’ve had for around 30 years which has gotten a little too thick to be applied with the hypodermic syringe. All of my searching has only revealed that the solder/flux is in an “organic binder.”
Does anyone have any idea of what that “organic binder” might be? Or, a recipe for making paste solder.
My best guess for the binder is mineral oil but that could be way wrong.
Thanks for any info.
