Silk thread

I have to string and knot a strand of faceted peridot beads, I am
having a difficult time finding the correct “apple green” silk
thread to string them on. Do any of the experienced stingers have a
suggestion for color or thread type? Thank you, Eileen

How about taking a Pantone or similiar permanent ink marker to the
thread? They come in hundreds of colours! (you might want to pull it
through a paper towel afterwards to get any extra residue off. )

Silk thread can be dyed using ordinary cold water dyes. Remember to
use a deeper dye than you need and to rinse thoroughly.

Hi Eileen,

I am having a difficult time finding the correct "apple
green" silk thread to string them on.

Have you thought about using a magic marker or other felt tipped pen
in artists colors to color a plain white silk? Many art stores have
felt tipped pens in lots of colors.
