Show shoes

I second the Dansko recommendation. My daughter swears by them for
work, and she’s on her feet a lot. She took me to the Dansko outlet,
and while I had no intention of buying shoes that day, once I tried
them on I couldn’t resist. They’re the most comfortable and
supportive shoes I’ve ever had. I must go back there again. They
make boots.

Richard,

yes, and they work, the only problem I had was when they wore out
the store I bought them from had changed management and no longer
was good feet. That also caused a problem with going to a different
store because the store had changed and they wouldn’t honor the
previous purchase. But I really liked them and they made me feel
better.

OK… I have to chime in here. All of my favorite shoes have been
mentioned, along with the fact that they’re kinda pricey. But you
really do get what you pay for. I’ve tried Crocs at shows - and I
love my Crocs - but they don’t hold up as well for me as the other
brands mentioned, purchased and tried: Merrill, Dansko, Mephisto,
Ecco, Born, Naots, Joseph Seibel, Birkenstock, Keen and Earth shoes.
Most all of which can be gotten through Sierra Trading Post at a
fraction of their original cost (though a 47% discount on Danskos is
pretty darn good). As they’ve gotten more popular over the past
several years, they’ve begun to include many more high end brands…
and not only of shoes.

But I go through shoes like water, and can’t really afford to pay
full retail for the good ones. Whenever I need a new pair, I just
log on to www.sierratradingpost.com - sometimes I can even find a
good pair of Smart Wool socks to go with 'em. I think you can even
sign up online for a Sierra Trading Post catalog just for shoes.
