Show postcards timing

I have an opinion question for y’all. I do a handful of shows each
year (7 this year, I think), and for some I have entry discount
postcards that I can send out to my mailing list. Each year I wonder
if I’m sending them out at the right time. I guess I’ve usually done
it about a month ahead. I don’t want to send them so early that the
show is forgotten by the time it happens, or so close that they
would likely already have made plans for that weekend and then can’t
make it. Is there a generally accepted timeframe before a show to
send the postcard to your customer list?

Hi Lisa,

I think a month in advance is about two weeks too early. Others will
undoubtedly disagree :-).

I agree. Two weeks seems right. Longer than that, and they’ll forget
about it.
