Shakudo

A question for all you shakudo artists–

A question for all you shakudo artists--
Since shakudo is mostly copper, does it tend to turn the skin
green like copper if you wear it?

Virginia, I wear spectacles made from 12% shakudo and while they
do not touch my skin very much (only around the bortom of the
eyewires where the metal goes blacker) the shakudo does not go
green. I wear them every waking moment of the day, which these
days is not saying much

Interestingly, the optical findings I use for nosepad brackets,
made of a nickle/copper alloy, they do go green. I have to scrub
the loose bits of green gunge from the findings every few months.

I made some rings from 10% shakudo and they turned the skin
black underneath. Not a good look.

But green? No.

Last week, a member of Orchid asked if Shakudo got your skin
green or not. I only found one answer to this question, I am
interessed to have another advice, as I’m planing to make shakudo
to make a ring. Thank you for your answers. CAMILA
