I know someone who bought some raw gold nuggets and wants to sell
them now, but doesn’t know where to go to get the best deal. I told
him I’d ask this board, because surely someone who reads this would
either know, or even want the nuggets for their own alloying.

I Refiners will buy nuggets according to the fine gold content less
assaying and refining charges. On ebay nuggets normally sell for
spot on their total weight plus a premium depending on size and
character.
