Hello fellow Orchidians!
I want to start off by saying I absolutely love Orchid and Ganoksin.
It is only through Orchid I can ask what I’m about to ask, to such a
large, talented audience. That said, here goes.
I’m actually not entirely sure how to ask this, however, I was
wondering if any of the teachers or worksop presenters on Orchid,
would like to come teach a worksop in Bend, Oregon?
I am in a guild out of Bend, Central Oregon Metal Arts Guild, COMAG.
We are looking to schedule 3 - 4 workshops this year. We’re looking
for people interested in coming to our beautiful little part of the
world and putting on a workshop for our guild.
If you’re interested in coming here, please answer, by email, the
following questions, regarding the workshop you would like to teach.
Since we are planning for the year, please tell me what time(s) of
the year are better for you; or if there are no date/time
restrictions.
What workshop(s) do you teach? (If more than one, please do a
separate form for each workshop, thank you!)
What type of class structure do you like for the workshop?
How many students?
Any prerequisite(s) or skills required?
How many days is this workshop taught?
How is the workshop broken down regarding hours spent lecturing and
hours spent in the shop, hands on?
What are your requirements for the type of studio/shop? (we have a
variety of places available, depending on what is needed).
Are there any special tools you will needing?
How long have you been teaching this, and when and where did you
learn it?
How much do you charge, and what is included?
Is there a student supply kit/list of supplies that need to be
purchased?
Would you be willing to stay at a members house? There are all sorts
of homes available; from one with a private bedroom and private
bathroom and non-smoker, but they have cats. However, the litter
boxes are in ther opposite side of the house (4500 sqft), so you
probably won’t smell anything. To private bedroom, shared bathroom,
non-smoker. There are more, I just don’t have the right
now, sorry.
If you are willing to stay at a members house, please let us know
what your preferences are. The more the better we can
match you with the right house. Don’t hold back. Please let us know if
you like, or dislike: cats, dogs, other animals, smokers, quiet
houses, loud houses, small children (the “loud houses” made me think
of that!), anything else.
