I am a 30 year old New York based jeweler and designer looking to
spend 3+ months in Scotland, preferably in Edinburgh. Knowing the pay
would most likely be minimal, I would like to offer my skills in the
trade as a means of supporting this extended stay, but am currently
having trouble finding out about stores, jewelers,
crafts/metalsmithing/lapidary organizations in Scotland. I am also
interested in educational opportunities that might be available, such
as studying the tradition of Scotish metalsmithting. If anyone could
offer any suggestions of contacts, schools, workshops, trade/craft
orgainzations or any other resources, I would greatly appreciate it.
