San Diego treasure in Chicago's mosaic school

Orchidians,

Some years ago, my grandsons and I were involved in Community Service
in n impoverished neighborhood in Tijuana. The leader of this effort
was James Hubbell A wonderful, internationally known artist,
sculptor, jeweler, etc. We made regular trips down to a school under
construction with James Hubbell as lead designer, architect, etc. We
had many tasks there, my youngest grandson was smashing tiles,
setting them in place and then grouting, all under James Hubbell’s
watchful eye.

I have remained in contact with the Hubbells over the years, through
their major wildfire loss and subsequent rebuilding. School
construction continues in Tijuana.

Today I received a notice that may be of interest to those of you in
the proximity of Chicago. With Hanuman’s generous permission, I
reprint it here.

Hugs,
Terrie
