Safety Tips for Oxygen & Gas Tanks

Hello!

After years of using a small tank of camping gas and an old torch
for soldering, I am finally getting gas and oxygen tanks and a new
torch. Does anyone have any safety tips for the tanks, etc.? I’m
just nervous about blowing something (or someone) up as I have my
workspace in a small corner of my home (wouldn’t want to end up
homeless or annoy the neighbors!) Thanks for any advice.

There will be many tips for you, no doubt. I will give the the
first, maybe, but the most important. When you get your regulators,
you will see, somewhere, especially on the oxygen, “USE NO OIL” Take
that to heart - oil in the presence of high pressure pure O2 can and
will explode - Use No Oil…
