Does anyone ever make rubber molds of their metal models with sprues still attached? Thanks!
I always have sprues on my models when making molds. Otherwise, you’d have to cut sprues into your mold and the wax injection flow wouldn’t be as smooth and controlled.

I am always sorry when I make a mold and the sprue is not solidly attached to the part (soldered on or left on after casting). Laying a piece of wire between the model and the edge of the frame only gets you iffy results. If you do it right you will never have to sprue that piece again before casting!
