another buy from the estate sale was a vacuum caster system…but
it’s a bit different than most I’ve seen and I think it’s meant to
be usable with huge flasks. The bell jar is probably at least 15
inches in diameter and extra tall and the pump is rotary. I looked up
rotary pumps online, and it seems like they are generally more
powerful than the standard vacuum pumps? Does that sound right? It
also came with an extra large casting platform which could be added
on/switched out with the standard one.
