Rock and Gem Sale in South Florida

All, Just a note to those Orchadians in or near South Florida…the
Florida Gold Coast Gem and Mineral Society will be holding it’s 2nd
annual rock, gem, mineral and jewelry sale Sat and Sun, 29/30 March
from 10:00 AM to 5 PM in the garden of the Graves Museum of
Archaeology and Natural History. The Museum is located at 481 S.
Federal Hwy, Dania Beach, FL. Go North or South on I95 to Stirling
Road, East to Federal Highway and then South about 4 blocks to the
Museum located on the East side at 4th Place. You can’t miss
it…there’s a dinosaur hanging on the outside facing Fed Hwy!

This is not a large sale but the Society has about 25 tons of
various jasper and agate rough, various mineral specimens, a few
tools and some equipment. Also, some society members will have cabs
and jewelry they have made for sale. Admission is $2.00 each (kids
under 10 free), there will be a kiddie mine, geode cutting, door
prizes, and raffles. Soft drinks will be on sale and there will be
picnic tables so bring a lunch spend the day and enjoy the garden.
