I am considering buying some unfinished silver rings (not
engagement or wedding), from a supplier and the sizes generally
listed are 6,7 & 8 but can range from 4 up to 12. I don’t want to
invest a lot of money on sizes that are not practical from a
sales perspective. Can anyone tell me what the most commonly
purchased sizes are, (womens) and what is good practise in
planning a small inventory in the above items.
On another note. I am also looking for a supplier of Viking or
Celtic style jewelery. Are there any wholesalers or suppliers
with these kinds of lines?
PS. I would prefer snail mail addresses, Web sites, E-Mail
addresses or Fax numbers as I am not located State side
Can’t be of much help in the ring size department; my own experience is
that ladies sizes 6 1/2 - 7 1/2 seem to be the most popular. However, some
of my customers do like to wear rings on fingers other than the traditional
ring fingers and larger sizes tend to be about 15-20% of my sales.
On the subject of Viking style jewelry, while in Tucson for the show this
winter, I saw a company called “The Viking Project”; they actually prefer
to deal with retailers as opposed to direct sales. They are authorized to
reproduce some of the artifacts in the Stockholm museum and had VERY nice
objects, both in gold and silver. The info is:
