Ring carving in wax

Dear Amery in Venice,

Wax tube come in various shapes and sizes to cover almost any
type ring you wish to make. Four or five different shapes and
sizes cover you very well. Invest in the "The Basic Wax Machine"
unit, made by Hammel/Dixon, and insides will never be a problem
again. Easily carves out inside shanks to the correct size, and
smoothly. Lastly, as to removing carving marks, I’ve found “Wax
Kleen” by Vigor works quite well. The best, and fastest way is
to leark to fan your wax with a natural gas toarch, but without
using any oxygen. This does take time to learn, so start with
simple patterns. Good hunting, Mike
