STL are an included file type with Rhino.

Just “save as…”.stl

Don’t buy a plugin until you learn Rhino. If you’ve already
purchased a plugin like Matrix or RhinoGold, don’t go through their
training until after you learn Rhino.

My suggestion is to go through these as fast as you can to get an
overview of the Rhino landscape. Then, go through them again. This
time, don’t move on to the next topic until you have a firm
understanding as things build upon themselves. Google is your friend
and you can delve deeper into any topic.

You should also join the Rhino forums (v5.Rhino3d.com) and the CAD

Hi Sean,

If you go through our modules of Rhino 5 or 4 learning materials you
will know how to do stl conversions. These are available online 24/7.

I want to help but need some some clarification : are you trying to
add files you have created as support for Rhino, and/or other apps
that are ASCII (and/or Binary) fil stles into an. stl format? If so
no problem, I can send you that off list. If you are trying to just
convert help files you have found for Rhino I can also give you that.
I guess I need to know if the help/support files also will include
things like PMD, Colourization for STl, and other files that will
become help and/or support you are adding into Rhino -like app to
become a “new” thing you are writing. not just converting.

If you are adding polygon mesh data reading and colourizing or
texturing and other additions that will help one render a finely
tuned 3D ‘lithograph’, and other elements up to which material will
be used as a substrate for 3D printing as well as for use in CAD/CAM
(or having the capacity to do both STL and millwork) then it would be
2 (maybe 3) downloads you could work with -including a decent
converter- then OK. I Just need to know clearer parameters. Oh, and
are you adding other design files types in too- if so do they also
need conversion?..rer
