Reticulation Silver

Reticulation silver is available at lower prices than buying it
from the metal suppliers. All you need is a rolling mill. Go to a
old coin merchant and buy Canadian silver coins, quarters, half
dollars and silver dollars minted before Canada went off the
silver standard. These coins were minted from 82% silver which
reticulates excellently. I have in my hand a silver half dollar
minted in 1964, this can be rolled to 22 Ga. erasing all the die
struck detail. Silver dollars can be rolled thicker. You
generally pay slightly more than the current silver price, check
around for the best price. Interesting hills can be obtained by
putting shaped pieces of pumice under the metal during the
reticulation process, it’s my favorite texturing process. John
