Reticulating nickel-silver

With all this wonderful advice on reticulating sterling silver, can
anyone say if it is applicable to reticulating nickel-silver? Does
the surface of nickel-silver need to be rid of its copper content, as
with sterling? Thanks in advance–

Nickel silver can be reticulated and does not need the annealing
pickling cycle that silver does. It’s been years since I have done
any but I recall that it makes a grid pattern not waves.
