Researching Communal Jeweler Situations / Long Term Bench Rentals

hello, I’m looking for communal jewelers’ situations where one might be able to rent a dedicated bench month to month, with unlimited access? I’ve already got a couple of metalsmithing degrees and a pretty extensive background both making and teaching jewelry, but have been out of the field for a while and am looking for school-like non-degree group situations (with or without classes), mainly for the company as I get bored working alone. places I’ve found so far with bench rentals by the month and (reasonably) unlimited access are

Baltimore Jewelry Center - Baltimore

$ 235-290

Brooklyn Metalworks - Brooklyn
http://bkmetalworks.com/rental-information
$ 385-615

Colorado Center for Metal Arts - Publeo
https://www.coloradocenterformetalarts.com/bench-rental
$ 220

Creative Side Jewelry Academy - Austin
http://creativeside.org/studio-rental
$ 285

Hot Spot - Grand Rapids

$ 250

Meltdown Studio - Albuquerque & Santa Fe
https://www.meltdownstudio.com/bench-mate-1
$ 135-200

Quench Studios - Minneapolis

$ (unknown)

Scintillant Studio - San Francisco

$ 215-305

has anyone here heard of others? thanks

just to simplify, criteria is “long term dedicated bench rental for studio jewelers (not just day use or shared benches), with some tools and common space”

that looks really great - I’ll add it to the list. I’m wondering how many of these are out there, flying under the radar ???

Hi, Zack,

The nonprofit Gem Cutter’s Guild of Baltimore has a workshop that is typically open 3-4 days a week. For the annual membership fee of $35 plus the annual shop fee of $75, you can attend any and all shop sessions. It’s Baltimore’s best-kept secret!!

We just had our annual show. It was great!

Lorraine - does it have bench rentals tho, or shared benches?

OK - after browsing the Rio Grande school directory, the shared spaces where you can rent a bench of your own (not just a locker, not just communal benches) in a section of the studio not preempted by classes appear to be:
