i’ve been approached by someone who is interested in representing my
jewelry. since i’ve never used a rep before i’m unfamiliar with the
terrain. is there a standard percentage charged by reps or does it
vary? this person said she would take over my existing accounts,
however i see no reason to give her a commission on relationships
i’ve already created. what is standard practice with existing
accounts? how does one find a rep? i’ve been told that the good reps
will find me if they’re interested in showing my work… any
comments? as a neophyte in this arena i’m grateful for any insights
