Hi @janetb. If you are logged in, you can send them a “private message” through Orchid. Then you can engage in a discussion privately through private messages.
Does the message come to them from Ganoksin rather than from me (my email address)? In other words, all private messages go back and forth filtered through the site? [We used to be able to write to Orchidians directly without going through a third party.]

Yes if you send them a private message through Orchid, it goes to them and only them through Orchid.
If you want to send them an email, you should ask for their email address in a private message and email them.
