so, after 20 years of bending over and reaching under a work bench, to switch my vaniman dust collector on and off… i discovered that remote hand or foot switches were available…!…for my vaniman dust collector…one day i just called and asked!
i figured i would mention this…in case someone else would benefit from knowing that remote switches might be available…!…not always easy to trip over on websites…
little things can bring so much happiness!!

I have used a foot switch as a “dead man switch” for years on my polishing hood. It is not a motor break, but at least power is removed from the polishing motor as soon as I remove my foot from the switch…Rob
I’ve got a Quatro dust collector, but have the same style switch. Because of having one of these kind of switches, I’ve got my dust collector behind my bench instead of by my side. That really helps keep the noise down.
