Reducing Watch Band Length

Hello Everyone.

I’m hoping someone out there might be able to tell me how to remove
the pins in a watch band to make it a little smaller. I did a search
in the archives and on-line but came up empty.

Thanks!

Pam,

Use a loupe and look at the pins to see if they are a small screw or
if they are a pin with a notch in one end.

Carefully try a screw driver to see if the pin is a screw and backs
out of the hole.

If it is not a screw but instead a pin you will need to tap the pin
out with a hammer and a small metal rod. Tap on the side opposite
where the small notch is.

Once you have the pins and links removed, simply slide the pin back
in to the hole and lightly tap in place. Use the small rod to finish
tapping the pin until it sinks below the surface.

Good Luck
