Can anyone tell me why buffing my silver piece with Luxi blue
compound -and after getting pretty hot, turned it orange? And how do
I fix it? How to avoid it in the future? Many thanks in advance!

Hello Elizabeth,
It sounds like you hit firestain and you’ll have to polish through
it. If you had been using rouge and applied too much pressure and
built-up heat, the rouge could have imbedded itself in the silver.
