I was setting a stone that I had cut a long time ago and discovered a small scratch. It is a nice stone, so I decided to dop it up and polish out the scratch. It is a very hard and highly polished stone and I could not keep it on a wood or aluminum dop stick using traditional dop wax, super glue or tape. One of these methods has always worked in the past. I decided to try some red pitch on one of my aluminum dop sticks. It worked great. It was a little messy, but the heat gun loosened it up enough to remove the stone and then a little alcohol removed what was left on the stone. I am sure others have already tried this, but it is new to me and I thought that I would pass it on…Rob
