Reclaimed" Chalcedony

Can anyone advise what ‘reclaimed’ chalcedony might be? The only
reference I can find to it is on one bead site that states their
’reclaimed chalcedony’ is manmade but ‘looks and feels’ like
chalcedony.

Thanks

Ground up stuff mixed with epoxy and then put in a mold?

It’s made from silica, (Glass) fairly durable and does look pretty
close, but softer and not really suitable for any hard wearing
applications such as rings etc. Anna-Margot

I belonged to a gem and mineral club in a large city. A trophy
company paid something for the sediment in the bottom of the rock
grinders (water coolant) and then cast it with resin and gave some
big sales pitch about precious stones. This may be a similar
situation. Rose Alene McArthur
