Can anyone advise what 'reclaimed' chalcedony might be? The
only reference I can find to it is on one bead site that states
their 'reclaimed chalcedony' is manmade but 'looks and feels' like
Ground up stuff mixed with epoxy and then put in a mold?
It's made from silica, (Glass) fairly durable and does look prettyclose, but softer and not really suitable for any hard wearingapplications such as rings etc. Anna-Margot
I belonged to a gem and mineral club in a large city. A trophycompany paid something for the sediment in the bottom of the rockgrinders (water coolant) and then cast it with resin and gave somebig sales pitch about precious stones. This may be a similarsituation. Rose Alene McArthur
