Re (Orchid) How to cut and fit bezels on a bracelt

Well Teresa : There is such a thing . It is called a wrap-around
and it operates by wrapping a long straight slender piece of
moderately stiff paper around your cylindrical or square or
rectangular bezel just like another very thin bezel on the out
side about a wrap ( turn) and a half . Then you take a fine
tipped pen and go around the bezel JUST ABOVE WHERE THE BEZEL IS
SITING ABOVE THE CURVED SURFACE . Match mark the paper to the
bezel before you take it off Then you take a good exacto knife and
carefully cut the line . Then you check it for fit . If the paper
does not quite fit right just DO IT AGAIN UNTIL YOU ARE
SATISFIED HOW THE PAPER WRAP FITS . Now you have a paper
template . NOTE If you are working with anything other than a
round bezel , MATCH MARK THE PAPER AND BEZEL TOGETHER. This is
so you can place the paper back on the bezel in exactly the same
relative position ( except a little higher or lower ) If the
bezel you are cutting is tapered ( bigger on one end than the
other ) , then cut the bezel to fit . Now cut the wrap around to
match the bezel . NOTE - SAVE THE GOOD TEMPLATE TO USE
AGAIN . This procedure is used in cutting dress and suit patterns
as well as fitting pipes together I hope this helps Respectfully
