Hello All,
A question for those of you who are familiar with the RDO
microwelder. Is this type of welder capable of depositing or building
up metal? Such as for re-tipping or filling in voids.

The RDO is basically like the PUK 111 and PUK 2 but with more power
and a built in microscope. They are TIG spot welders, you can build
up metal and weld seams and re tip prongs with them but there is a
fairly steep learning curve. I have re-tipped prongs and filled
voids with my PUK 2. I have tried the RDO out at a trade show but not
in the shop. I was impressed with the power and liked the microscope.

The last word from RDO is that they have found the response to their
welder under-whelming. They are considering canceling the item from
