I am in need of advise on what product may be available to seal,
protect and add brilliance to foiled crystals I am gluing into
depressions set in ring bands of sterling silver and 14k gold. So
far, I am not satisfied with the glue that we apply before the
crystals are set in place. Of course, moisture can loosen the glue or
attack the foil. While the crystals are somewhat protected from being
knocked loose, I believe there must be a non-toxic, thin coating of
material that can be applied to the crystal settings. It would
protect the area from dirt and moisture, keep the crystals from being
loosened and enhance the brilliance of the stones. Any ideas would be
