Propane safety?

Goo,

I use a disposable 14.1 oz. (400g) propane tank, with the small
disposable tanks, removing the pre-set regulator when not in use also
removes the risk of leaks or explosions, making them relatively safe
for in-home use. The small amount of fuel available also limits the
danger of large quantities of gas leaking.

This is the size tank I have gotten approval from a local fire
marshal to have in my condo, and is the only size tank I can keep at
our in-office jewelry studio. This size tank would not be acceptable
for a jewelry manufacturing operation but I have been told any larger
capacity propane tank would require having the tank stored out of
doors with a line plumbed in, and the line inspected to make sure
it’s
up to code.
