[Project] How I made a double knot ring

I annealed the wire three times at various stages in order to pull
the knots smaller and smaller.

The following photos will show the process.

Thanks Dale. Nifty idea. This would be a great project for a
beginner! Judy in Kansas

Very nice progression of photos showing the process! Thank you so
much!

Thanks so much for the photo sequence, and of course the ring. Could
you explain the set-up for the pickling after soldering the ring
shut? I don’t recognize the material holding the ring in the pickle
(assuming that is pickle. Could it be an ultrasonic?)

Noralie, You are right, the photo is of a pickle pot. I cut a slit
out of the top of it for easy access and it still keeps the liquid
from evaporating fairly well. I suspend my rings on a plastic coat
hanger I have formed into a u-shape. You can easily bend a plastic
coat hanger into shape by gently heating it with your torch. Good
question.
