Private lessons?

Strangely, twice in the last two weeks I have been asked to give
private lessons at the person’s home. Two different people,
completely different circumstances. This is not something I feel
particularly comfortable with.

Has anyone ever done this? Any advise on – what to charge? safety?

Elaine, There have been a number of times that I have given private
lessons in my studio. I charge $75 per hour. I would find it
difficult to do this in someone’s home when all my tools are right
here in my studio. I currently charge $75/hour.

I have also been asked about private lessons a few times. Thus far,
I have stayed away from it, mainly out of concern for potential
liability. It seems to me one would need some major insurance
before giving lessons in a private studio (especially a messy one
like mine).
