[Press Release] Gemvision Holds Matrix Release Weekend

For Immediate Release
Gemvision Holds Biggest Ever Matrix Release Weekend in Chicago

DAVENPORT, IA - October 20, 2005 - Gemvision Corporation hosted its
5th annual Matrix Release Weekend in Chicago October 8th and 9th to a
record crowd of nearly 300. This unique jewelry technology event,
which featured presentations of innovative jewelry CAD/CAM technology
and special training seminars, was held at the Sheraton Chicago
Northwest Hotel in Arlington Heights, IL.

The day long seminar on Saturday, October 8th unveiled the latest
innovative features of Matrix Version 5.0. Features include
interactive real time 3-D mesh modeling with new Matrix Art. New
Blend Targets make complex surface modeling more simple, intuitive,
and easier to change than ever before. Project Manager now organizes
your models by job and offers a new job timer to automatically record
time spent working on a project. Improved Pave and Gem Line tools in
5.0 heighten interactivity, enhance user control, and enable
countless varieties of gem layouts. Even more of the familiar Matrix
builders have been updated in 5.0 with interactive controls to make
real-time changes possible. And brand new 5.0 builders offer amazing
new functionality for creating patterns, enhancing renders, and
accelerating modeling for both beginner and advanced users.

One of the highlights of the entire weekend was the announcement of
the winners of Gemvision’s first annual Matrix Design Contest at a
special evening dinner held Saturday, October 8th. This contest was
open to all Matrix users and recognized winners based on Best Render,
Technical Merit, and Overall Design. Prizes for all categories
included additional copies of Matrix, Apple iPods, and Gemvision
apparel. A special Grand Prize winner was voted on by dinner
attendees, who awarded a complete computer system and Apple Cinema
Display prize package worth over $3,000 to David Delaria of Delaria
Bros Goldsmiths.

Sunday, October 9th offered a special training seminar day where
event goers could choose 4 training seminars to attend from 8
available class options. This allowed users to select the training
that best fit their particular business operation and skill level.
Instructors for these training seminars included members of the
Matrix software development team, Gemvision staff instructors, and
special guest instructors from the industry representing the highest
level of expertise in their field.

Jeff High, president and founder of Gemvision Corporation, states,
“This year’s Matrix Release Weekend really offered something for
everyone with the presentation of new Matrix features, multiple
training options, and time to network, share and
socialize with others in the CAD/CAM community. I think this is
reflected in our overwhelming response and attendance at the event.”
