Powder coating

Hello,

I have never experimented with powder coating so I was hoping someone
here may have some knowledge. Is it possible to either powder coat a
silver ring in black color or powder coat it clear on an oxidized
silver ring. what I am trying to do is to have a durable black matte
finish. oxidizing wears away on rings so quickly. the other issue is
that i have diamonds on this ring so I am not sure if that works with
powder coating.

Powder coating is a plastic coating that is sealed in place by the
application of heat. It is great for outdoor furniture but will be
less effective than you desire on silver jewelry. It will abrade
fairly quickly in use on rings and it has a plastic texture and feel
that will probably turn off your clients.
