I noted Charles Lewton-Brain’s comment regarding loading the
buff, sometimes simultaneously with polishing, and I am seeing
some cautions posted regarding too much polishing medium on the
wheel. As I remember, we did have a polishing discussion around
smears and residues some time ago, havn’t run across it in the
archive yet. but the conclusion of it was, if I remember,
careful not to load too much. Do we have two methods of practice
here? or what’s the missing detail? Charles, when you have
