Polishing Mother of Pearl

Hello! I am currently working with a set of vintage mother of pearl
buttons, that have been intricately carved. Some have great
iridescent luster, while others have lost their luster through years
of service to their wearer. So my question is how can I recover their
originalpolish/luster…I love my flex-shaft, so if there is
something that can be recommended using that I’d be thrilled. As
usual, I greatly appreciate any and all suggestions!

Thank you in advance,
Nisa

they normall just use cotton swansdown mop with rouge Or white bar
compound soft cloth Start as slow as possible as too high speed will
cut the intricate detail away you just want to wipe it softly else
you gonna lose detail sorry. Going fast will make the mop hard and
polish fast but cut away your delicate detail. err on the slow side
