If you have an aircompressors , buy a pneumatic hammer piece,
preferably from Chicago Pneumatic (they call it an Air Scribe -9361
). They last longer , don’t get hot with continous use, you also have
much beter control and they don’t consume electricity. We do have a
lot of manufacturing units in Bombay India doing alot of channel set
taper baguette jewellery. . Nearly all units have stopped using
foredom flexshaft hammers. They cost neary double compared to
flexshaft hammers, but they are worth it.

If you have access to a Harbor Freight Tools, they carry a complete
line of pneumatic tools at what seem to be very reasonable prices. If
you are a large production shop you may need to purchase top of the
line quality, but for lighter duty, Harbor Freight’s tools are
perfectly adequate.
