PMC to repair broken metal

Has anyone ever used PMC to fill a piece of metal which is broken?
Have a silver plate sugar bowl to repair. The legs were too soft for
soldering, so had to mend with soft solder. Am wondering about the
safety of melting or forming the leg over to repair. Any ideas?

PMC is fired at 1650 for 2 hours, or 1470 for 30 minutes, so not
useful for this application.

Are you thinking of making a replacement piece and then attaching it
with soft solder? Might not match well.
