Plastic to cover paper

There was a thread about two weeks ago regarding ways to cover paper
for protection in jewelry. I had forgotten the name of a product you
might find useful…from my files: Butyrate sheet…0.30" thick approx
$1.00 per 8"x12" sheet. This is fairly scratch resistant, flexible,
you can cut it with scissors. I learned to use it in a Ken Bova
workshop…he covers maps and other paper parts with it, then treats
the 2 part piece as a cab, secures it with a mini nut & bolt and bezel
sets it. Available from hobby shops, I think model train people use
it for windows in buildings.
