Plans For Jeweler's Bench

My girlfriend’s husband, who does a lot of carpentry as a hobby,
just retired. I would like him to make me a jeweler’s bench; I
need one and a little spare cash in retirement is nothing to be
sniffed at. Does anyone know of plans for such a thing?

Tim McReight’s Complete Metalsmith book has two sets of plans
for benches…Dave

In the back of McCreigh’s Compleat Metalsmith are plans for
benches. My father made me two benches to my specifications
several years apart, and I really like them. The second one he
made has a series of drawers on the left side- the torch and flex
shaft are on the right. Both benches have a shallow tool tray
above the filings catch tray. They both have shallow rectangular
depressions milled into part of the left hand side of the top
towards the front edge to store findings, solder, stones, etc.
so they don’t get lost. The tops of both benches are about 2x4
feet.

Two relatively simple and inexpensive benches are detailed in McCreight’s
"The Complete Metalsmith". Plans are there with parts list.
