green but African Turquoise is also green in color with some
natural matrix and it is stunning to me. We use is frequently in
our designs. Our company purchased this African Turquoise from the
Wholesale Gemstone show in Hawaii. It was sold in different size

Hi Barbara,

Just thought you would like to know that there is a Green
Turquoise out there and it is beautiful - African Turquoise.

Just F.Y.I., I am pretty certain that “African Turquoise” is not
turquoise at all, but a trade name for a rock that contains various
minerals. My guess is that it gets its turquoise color from
chrysocolla, but I’m not sure about this. Regardless, it is still a
very pretty gemstone.
