[Photography] Coolpix macro light SL-1

Hello and Merry Christmas!

I was wondering if anyone who has the coolpix 4500 has used the
macro light SL-1 attachment?..i am finding that in general photos
of gemstones set in rings have turned out all right, but the stones
have lost a lot of their brilliance and/or true color…i am hoping
that this attachment might improve this situation…any advice would
be kindly appreciated…

I used a ‘ring strobe’ once and it made the photos come out like
medical examination pic. not appealing for jewelry! Thomas
